Meet Dr. Jemma Hanson, dmd

ENDODONTIST

Dr. Jemma Hanson brings a unique perspective and unwavering dedication to endodontic care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern College of Dental Medicine in Arizona and completed her specialized endodontics residency at Texas A&M University. Dr. Hanson is currently in the process of becoming board certified in endodontics.

Dr. Hanson specializes in comprehensive endodontic treatment, including root canal therapy, root canal retreatments, and endodontic microsurgery. Her clinical philosophy centers on patient comfort and treatment success, with a primary focus on saving natural teeth whenever possible.

Dr. Hanson’s path to endodontics began with a deeply personal experience. Born in Paso Robles, California, she spent her formative years from age 8 to 16 living on the island of Java, Indonesia, where her family served in mission work. A traumatic dental experience during her childhood in Indonesia, involving a complicated root canal treatment that required extensive correction upon returning to the United States, sparked her passion for endodontics. This experience instilled in her a profound understanding of dental anxiety and the importance of compassionate, skilled care, driving her commitment to providing exceptional treatment to every patient.

Dr. Hanson completed her undergraduate studies at San Diego State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Her multicultural background brings a unique global perspective to her practice, combining technical expertise with genuine empathy for patients facing complex endodontic needs.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hanson maintains an adventurous spirit. She previously raced motorcycles and continues to enjoy weekend rides with her fiancé on their Ducati motorcycles. She is also a passionate artist, maintaining a home art studio where she paints. Dr. Hanson and her fiancé share a love of travel, working to visit all European countries and planning to return to Indonesia, where she spent her childhood years.
